This used to be a Pop Physique, which I loved, but I think I prefer the Barreworks (even though the owner is the same) because the workout is SO MUCH BETTER! This has to be the most challenging barre class I’ve been to. The format of the class started out like a normal barre class, with a center warm up and arms with weights. We then moved to the barre for some barre thighs, but then spent the rest of class back in the center on our mats. We did glutes and abs all with weights, which was very challenging but also a refreshing twist on the normal barre class format. If you’ve ever been to Body By Simone or JJ Dancer, you’ll see the similarities between this class and the the leg, glute and core workouts at those dance cardio classes because you do a little of barre thighs and then move to the mat to use ankle weights, hand weights and a ball to give you an added challenge on the mat.
Overall, this class was a great way to kick the normal barre class up a notch. I absolutely loved it! They also offer HIIT classes and dance cardio classes, so I can’t wait to try those!
