This was the first time that I have given a Title Boxing Club a try, and it was a kick-ass workout. Class started with a rigorous 15 minute warm up where you move the entire time. Then, the next 30 minutes is broken into 8 rounds of bag exercises. The instructor demonstrates the combination, and then you have 30 seconds to a minute of repeating the combination. Each round consists of about 3 sets of combos, followed by 30 seconds of active recovery. The clubs also have just boxing classes, which I imagine will be a similar setup without the kicking combos. The class ends with 13 minutes of core work and 2 minutes of stretching.
The particular location I went to was very clean (and only 3 months old). The class only had about 4 people in it, so overcrowding did not seem to be a problem, and there were at least 20 punching bags and a boxing ring. The facilities were very nice and well kept. My only complaint was that the core work was done on the hard floor (I didn’t see any mats) so it was a little painful on the back and tailbone. Other than that, the class was great; I wish there was one closer to me in LA!
